Well, that might be a long shot; but it wouldn’t
surprise me if China America Cooperative Automotive Inc., or Chamco,
becomes the next Kia or Hyundai within the next few years.
Whereas Japanese automakers have often gone out of
their way to “blend in” to the Western markets, Chamco’s marketing
materials are touting the company’s Chinese identity. For various historic
reasons, patriotism is much stronger in China than in Japan; and it only
makes sense that this is reflected in the business world.
