What are the common
roots between Judaism, Christianity, and Islam?
The histories of
the world’s three major monotheistic religions intersect in the Middle
East.
All of them
recognize Abraham as the earliest prophet. Tradition holds that Abraham
migrated from Mesopotamia (modern-day Iraq) to Canaan (modern-day
Palestine around 3000 B.C.E.)
Muslims belief
that Allah is the deity described in the Old Testament. Muslims also
acknowledge Jesus as a prophet (though they do not ascribe any divinity
to him.)
